News For 2008-11-24

First of all, allow me to apologize for the lateness of this comic (it is now 2:01pm AZ-Time as I write this on the 24th). Yesterday I was stricken with food poisoning and caught without a buffer of comics drawn ahead of time. I'd like to thank everyone that shot me well wishes this morning. I'm happy to report that the last of the demon clam was crapped out of my system this morning, so I've been working on comics all day. This was the first time I've missed an update in 101 comics and I don't intend on having it happen again. It's unprofessional and you fine people deserve better than my excuses.

Having said that, you'll have noticed that I'm doing the ol' switcheroo with Sporkman this week. The reason for this is two-fold: one, I simply wanted to create a week of filler to cleanse your webcomic palette before jumping into the next FFHH storyline; two, I had a jonesin' to draw the Sporkman cast in my FFHH style.

If you don't read Sporkman (and you haven't read the ancient archives here at Flat Feet), allow me to catch you up: Robyn is Basil's recently divorced mother. The other girls are Basil's other sisters - Nicholle, a foul-mouthed angsty cartoonist; Jordan, the annoyingly upbeat idential twin of Nicholle; and Sophie, a perky teenage mad scientist whose best friend is a superhero.

You may also recall them from some brief roles in the distant past of Flat Feet - Nicholle in particular shared quite a bit of quality time with Mary Elizabeth last year. I'll leave it at that, since this talk post is already far too long.
