Martina Cadence O'Reily: Martina is not a lesbian, but Felicity wishes she was. She was Felicity's best friend in high school and followed her to the secret agent academy. Spy work never caught her fancy, however, and she was pleased when the secret agency went defunct. Martina is now trying to make it as a classical musician. Chronically insecure, she also lusts after Basil when Mary Elizabeth's not paying attention.
Basil Alexander Flint: Basil is a young private investigator with a brilliant but lazy mind. He's stubborn and easily irritated, but also carries a strong sense of justice. On most cases, he ends up with tunnel vision and blocks everything else out of his mind, much to the annoyance of those around him. After moving to Seattle, he managed to make Mary Elizabeth fall in love with him, though no one is quite sure how.
Mary Elizabeth Teresa Flaherty: Mary Elizabeth is Basil's fiance, a third grade teacher with a sharp mind and large heart. That large heart won't get in the way, though, if her hubby needs to be put in his place. Mary Elizabeth is older than Basil by a few years and thinks she knows a little more about how the world works. She uses this experience to force her help upon people "for their own good," whether they might want it or not.
Felicity Sarah Flint: Felicity is Basil's younger sister. Spunky and athletic, she used to be a secret agent, but found herself unemployed when her secret agency went bust. Now she's self-employed as a "secret agent for hire," though finds herself with very little work since she doesn't fancy killing people. She's also a lesbian, if you care about that sort of thing.
Amanda Jennifer Beaumont: Amanda is the daughter of an American media baron and thus has never had to work a day in her life. She seems to fancy herself the most beautiful woman on Earth and doubts the sanity of anyone who says otherwise. This attitude has kept her from having too many friends. Mary Elizabeth is usually quick to befriend Amanda, however, since Mary Elizabeth is nice to a fault sometimes.
Andie Renee Thompson: Before she found out that her adoptive father killed her birth parents, young Andrea worked for The Organization, a company bent on world domination. Following the collapse of said organization (and the subsequent death of said murderous foster dad), Andie has struck out to fight the good fight and honor her parents memory. Also, she's stalking Basil, which is both creepy and adorable.
